Technological innovation × Humanistic care: Creating new possibilities for people with disabilities

Maidest始终坚持科技创新与人文关怀为核心,重新 define rehabilitation medical device products and continuously enhance the quality of life for seniors and people with disabilities. We firmly believe that the research, development, manufacturing, and service of rehabilitation medical devices are not just an industry—they are a profound mission to improve lives through technology.

To fulfill this mission, Medest is actively collaborating with all sectors of society to jointly drive the innovation and implementation of home-based rehabilitation products. 2024 This year, we have established a strategic partnership with Professor Jiang Hanqing’s lab at Westlake University and Westlake Interactive Machines Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd., upholding the philosophy of "Technology for Good, People-Centric," and will focus on new materials, AI Advanced technologies such as intelligent interaction are being integrated into the daily lives, travel, and rehabilitation scenarios of seniors and people with disabilities, creating more comfortable, convenient, and dignified lifestyles for them.

Robotic Arm Wheelchair: Technology Makes Independence Within Reach

Over the past year, Medster’s product team joined forces with the West Lake Interaction Research Team to conduct in-depth research into the real-life scenarios and pain points of wheelchair users. Grounded in user needs, they’ve developed an innovative product concept: a robotic-arm-equipped electric wheelchair designed to break through limitations on upper-body mobility, empowering people with disabilities to independently manage their daily tasks. Currently, this groundbreaking product is already taking shape. At this year’s China International Welfare Expo, we’ll make our highly anticipated debut—inviting guests from all walks of life to experience firsthand and witness its remarkable innovation and appeal.

It’s not just an electric wheelchair—it’s a confident assurance of independence.

This robotic arm wheelchair is designed to help users reduce their heavy reliance on caregivers, enabling them to regain independence, reclaim their self-esteem, and restore a sense of wholeness and identity. Currently, the robotic arm can assist users effortlessly with everyday tasks such as picking up objects, lifting a water cup, opening doors, pressing light switches, and operating elevator buttons. In the future, it will gradually evolve to support even more refined movements, paving the way for an even higher level of autonomous living.

Anyone whose upper-limb function is limited due to illness or injury, making it difficult to independently perform daily activities—such as those with spinal muscular atrophy, muscular dystrophy, ALS, spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, amputations, or stroke—can regain their freedom with the help of this robotic arm wheelchair.

An electric wheelchair is the user's second pair of legs, while a robotic arm allows them to regain the freedom of "hands."

Three smart control methods—accessible to everyone

Voice control: Natural language output allows for effortless interaction without the need for strict commands.

Touchscreen control: An intuitive and user-friendly interface that’s simple to pick up and start using.

Six-axis force handle: Precise and flexible, meeting diverse needs.

Comprehensive security protection, for greater peace of mind.

Electronic fence setup: Define the boundaries to prevent accidental operations

Collision avoidance strategy: Real-time perception of the surrounding environment

Safety Redundant Braking: Ensuring Safe Human-Machine Collaboration
