On the morning of August 12, while Hangzhou was still drenched in sweltering heat, the Medest Charity Team had already arrived at the Gudang Daida Renjia Elderly Care Service Institution, carrying specially prepared walking aids, elderly-friendly mobility vehicles, and Hailian hot compress packs. This wasn’t a one-way charitable donation—it was rather a unique research mission aimed at "bringing products directly to where the needs originate." As elderly individuals genuinely held these items in their hands, the pain points—those that couldn’t be captured by evaluation reports, survey data, or lab tests—finally began to surface.
When we arrived at the scene, some of the grandparents had already been there ahead of time. Teacher Yuan, who was responsible for welcoming us, informed us that most of the seniors attending today’s activity were experiencing memory decline or mild cognitive impairment. Normally, our "Da Ai Ren Jia" team follows a planned schedule to organize cognitive exercises for these seniors, aiming to slow down memory loss through meaningful activities, effective communication, and consistent daily care.
From donation to symbiotic corporate social responsibility—a mutual journey in two directions

After all the seniors arrived at the scene, we began experiencing a day in the life of seniors with cognitive impairments, guided by the institution’s professional instructor. Led by the expert teacher, the seniors followed along with a video that kicked off their daily warm-up activities. Throughout the session, everyone stayed right on pace with the warm-up routine, clearly enjoying themselves immensely. Following this, the Medest team members presented several age-friendly products they had brought for the seniors today, taking the time to demonstrate and explain each item in detail.
Silver-haired wisdom illuminates the path of product evolution.

After the demonstration, the seniors actively jumped in to try out the products. Some had used similar items before, while others were experiencing this type of age-friendly product for the first time. Regardless, everyone responded enthusiastically to the experience, sharing their thoughts and feedback with our staff about their usage—such as expressing interest in adding an alarm feature to the walking sticks. Our team promptly noted down these suggestions, determined to develop even more innovative products that better meet the real needs of seniors and enhance the quality of care they receive. Meanwhile, several seniors found the products particularly useful and even asked about pricing, eager to recommend them to their friends and family members. Meanwhile, Maidesite’s on-site staff assured the grandmothers that this event was primarily a charitable donation drive, emphasizing that they were here to gather valuable insights from the seniors. The team promised to revisit soon and bring additional units for their families as a heartfelt gesture of gratitude.
After the product experience session, it was time for the singing segment—the part that our grandparents loved most. Led by Teacher Li, our staff joined in, singing together with the seniors their beloved classic old songs. In those heartfelt melodies, we realized that dementia doesn’t mean life fades away—it simply transforms into a different way of expression.
More precious than the product itself is the humble posture of bending down.

As the event drew to a close, our staff bid farewell one by one to the grandparents who were present. One grandmother even joked, "Next time you develop a new product, be sure to 'bring it over! I’ll be your official tester!" The Medest team warmly replied, "We’ll definitely send you a free sample of our next, even better product!" Beyond ambitious growth targets and corporate accolades, what truly fuels our dedication at Medest is something far simpler: keeping the promises we’ve made to our elderly loved ones. After all, this aligns perfectly with Medest’s core mission—to enhance the quality of life for seniors.
